Our Classic Car and Motorcycle cover offers a niche product, designed specifically for enthusiasts of classic motoring and developed by expert classic motor underwriters. The policy offers comprehensive cover together with the type of benefits required by owners of collectable vehicles.
This cover, which is not usually available from standard mass-market insurance, is offered by MUA at very competitive and flexible rates.

PRODUCT BENEFITS EXPLAINED
AGREED VALUE
In the case of a total loss claim, you will be guaranteed a
payout of the agreed value amount. All classic cars and motorcycles qualify for an agreed value on the policy. All
we need is an independent or expert club valuation.
AUTHORISING EMERGENCY REPAIRS
You enjoy cover for emergency repairs so that you can
continue your journey. Repairs may be done without
first obtaining permission from MUA.
DELIVERY AFTER REPAIRS
Cost of the delivery of your vehicle to your home after
repairs is covered.
HEAD, TAIL OR SPOTLIGHT DAMAGE
Accident damage to the head, tail and fitted spotlights of
the vehicle is covered, even if there is no damage to the vehicle.
CHERISHED REMAINS
With our policies you will always have the right to
repurchase your vehicle so that you can salvage any
parts of the vehicle, or restore it yourself (depending on
the circumstances of the write off)
ADDITIONAL COVER BENEFITS
WEDDING CAR INSURANCE
Please tell us if you would like to use your classic car for occasional
wedding hire use. There is no additional charge, however this benefit is
restricted to nominated drivers on the policy only.
TRACK DAY AND RALLY COVER
We know you like to show off your classic cars at track days or rally
events, so we offer you cover for the days in which you would like to
take part – at an additional premium per day. Please ask your broker for
more information regarding this added benefit.
LEGAL LIABILITY TO THIRD PARTIES
We offer R30 million cover for costs and expenses, including legal
defense costs and civil judgments arising from legal liability claims
related to the ownership or use of the insured vehicle. Cover is
automatically included when you insure a vehicle.
BREAKDOWN COVER
Roadside assistance is included on all our policies at an additional
monthly cost.
